Australia’s Oldest Man appears at the Skint Theatre Festival, 22nd and 23rd of July

Australia’s Oldest Man crosses the Atlantic and plays at the Skint Theatre Festival in Bristol on Fri 22nd July and Sat 23rd July. Each night the play is performed five times in a jail cell by Bristol based actors Matthew Deering and Tabitha Fry. More information about the festival, based on a recent Spanish theatre festival idea called ‘micro-theatre’ can be found below.

Australia’s Oldest Man – upcoming shows in US and UK

Australia’s Oldest Man has a big July coming up. On July 16 and 17, the play has two performances as part of the Midtown International Theatre Festival in Manhattan:

The following weekend, on the 22nd an 23rd of July, the play will have its debut in England at The Island Venue, Bristol, as part of the Skint Theatre Festival. The Bristol-based actor, Matthew Deering, will take on the role. More information on Bristol soon.

The Truth is Longer Than a Lie @ Frankston Arts Centre, Thurs July 21

The Truth is Longer Than a Lie returns for its first show since last year’s premiere season in Melbourne. This compelling play about two families consumed by a world of child abuse will be presented in the beautifully appointed Cube Theatre, Frankston. Sons of Sun – The Clarendon, Katoomba

Sons of Sun (The Sam Phillips Story) rolls through NSW over the next few weeks starting on Sat May 7 at the Clarendon Guesthouse in Katoomba. The Truth is Longer Than a Lie

The Truth is Longer Than a Lie, the play adapted from the book of the same name by Dr Neerosh Mudaly and Professor Chris Goddard, about child abuse and subsequent professional interventions, now has a second version of 50 minutes duration. The idea for this version is that it can be performed in schools, community centres, outdoor areas, conference rooms, factories and focus nights etc. The play can be set up quickly in this version and can be run in tandem with Q and A sessions, forums and information support sessions.
