Hi. Welcome to my website. I am a playwright from Melbourne, Australia. Sixteen plays have been produced in Australia, America and England since 2002. Recent plays include The Giraffe’s Uncle – The Les Robinson Story – (Newtown Theatre, Sydney 2011, La Mama, Melbourne 2013 and Old Fitzroy Theatre, Sydney 2014), Sons of Sun – The Sam Phillips Story – (Various venues in Sydney and Melbourne including the Sydney Opera House Studio, 2014 and 2015) and Australia’s Oldest Man (Pit Loft Theater, The Players Theater, Flying Solo Festival, The Silent Barn and Midtown International Theater Festival, New York, 2015-16). I have been a Writer-in-Residence at Yaddo (Saratoga Springs, New York), La Muse (France) and the Kimmel Harding Center For The Arts (Nebraska City, USA). In Melbourne, I was the first Bayside Council Writer-in-Residence (2009/10). In 2013, I won the Grace Marion Playwrights’ Fellowship through the Victorian Writers’ Centre. In further projects, my biographical drama/comedy about the great Australian tennis champion, John Newcombe (available through the Australian Script Centre) is circulating. It is now also a one-man show. Another new play, All The Things She Gave Me, a New Zealand/Belgian family drama can be found above. In 2015, I was a commissioned playwright at Monash University, Melbourne, writing and directing an adaptation of the Dr Neerosh Mudaly and Professor Chris Goddard book The Truth Is Longer Than A Lie, a research investigation into child abuse. The play was published by Black Pepper Press in November 2015. In November 2016, the one-man work, The Youthful Adventures of Damon Dukirk will appear in New York at St.Paul’s Theater, Brooklyn.
