Hi. Welcome to my blog. I am a playwright from Melbourne, Australia. Sixteen plays have been produced nationally since 2003. Recent plays include The Giraffe’s Uncle – The Les Robinson Story – (Newtown Theatre, Sydney 2011, La Mama, Melbourne 2013 and Old Fitzroy Theatre, Sydney 2014) and Sons of Sun – The Sam Phillips Story – (Various venues in Sydney and Melbourne including Sydney Opera House Studio). I have been a Writer-in-Residence at Yaddo (Saratoga Springs, New York), La Muse (France) and the The Kimmel Harding Center For The Arts (Nebraska City, USA). Locally, I was Bayside Council Writer-in-Residence (2009/10). In 2013 I won the Grace Marion Playwrights’ Fellowship through the Victorian Writers’ Centre. Currently, my biographical drama/comedy about the great Australian tennis champion, John Newcombe (available through the Australian Script Centre) is circulating with hopes for a 2016 production. Another new play, All The Things She Gave Me, a New Zealand/Belgian family drama is also circulating. That script can be found above. For 2015 I am a commissioned playwright at Monash University, Melbourne working on an adaptation of the Neerosh Mudaly and Chris Goddard book The Truth Is Longer Than A Lie, a research investigation into domestic child abuse.
